Relationships can be tricky

What’s meant to be a connection
Has become a point of contention
Some topics are off limits
Others should never be mentioned

Again once forgiven
Not discussed or brought up
You know what’s a trigger
What things’ a bitter cup

For your partner
Hurtful things from their past
Things that still need healing
That left them feeling bad,

Unwanted, abused or
Unloved
Things that time may heal
Things often covered up

Be a helper in their
Process of becoming whole
Use sensitivity and compassion
Show kindness and hold

Onto the love
That you first met with
Have each others back
Not outsmart or outwit

With belittling language
Demeaning condescension
Speak well of each other
Take time, to listen
