Accept Rejection
Expect it as a part of life
For just as our savior experienced it
So will you and I
Have known it from my youth
Been acquainted with its pain
I’ve tried avoiding its presence
Yet its grief still remains
Of the day
When all is said and done
Once there’s acceptance of rejection
The matured life’s just begun

So true… my son experienced that this week – and it was such a wonderful learning experience. I grew enormously through the pain of rejection back in the 70’s. I’m grateful to God for believing I learned the lessons he had in mind and he didn’t need to keep repeating the lesson. It’s a painful one!

There are invaluable lessons to learn, but sometimes the view grows clearer years later.
