I don’t understand men
They’re like aliens to me
What do they want
And what do they need
Me to be or to do
For I haven’t got a clue
To what it is I am to be
Let me see,
I can’t even finish my thought
So I guess I ought
To stop while I’m ahead
But instead
I’ll journey on
Singing my song
Of confusion and dismay
Wondering soon if someday
I’ll understand a man
And stand hand in hand
With him by my side
One day I’ll decide
To join with a man
Who must have a plan
Or a mission
for my submission
One that I help meet
For I’m made to complete
Even if I don’t understand
Hopefully my man
Will embrace my frame,
And love me just the same
Lord knows I can stand
With an understanding man

I certainly was blessed when 59 years ago (this Feb.11th) I married an “understanding man.” Please don’t settle for less!! ❤
