The smallest thing
Can make the biggest impact
The smaller it is
In fact
The more annoying
Or enjoying
It will be
You’ll see,
Just be
Sleeping under
The ceiling fan
And
The ticking sound
Can bring you down
Or that extra text
You know, the one next
To the last one
Before you fall asleep

Your poem reminds me of an acquaintance’s home, which is filled with at least three cuckoo clocks. I can’t imagine trying to sleep there with little sounds cuckooing in the middle of the night.

It does bring that to mind.

Yes, 🎶”Little Things Mean a Lot”🎶 that was a Doris Day song, I think. You’re probably too young to remember it. Google it! You’ll like it! ❤️ This lovely post reminded me of it.

I just found it and posted it on JanBeek. It’s not Doris Day – it’s Kitty Kallen.
