Harvesting

When the rain has passed
Life begins anew
Giving breath to what has

Been barren
and fruitless
For we didn’t choose this

Drought
But no doubt
New sprouts

Will appear
Up here

First the blade then the ear
For sure corn is now near

Closer than when we
first believed
Be not deceived

What you sow
That shall you reap
By the heaps
if you keep

Watering,
The seed
