From my forefathers
Like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
God passed wealth on to me
So that I could take his

Blessing to be a blessing
To all the families of the earth
With none born knowing poverty
With no reason to rehearse
The pain of lack
The insufficiency it brings
No hole in their sack
The not enough that it sings
Over and over
Every time a decision is made
“Should we eat or buy clothes
Pay a bill or get laid
Off to collect unemployment
So the government can feed us?
No, our living depends on it
For it is we that need us”
Is what poverty says
For it is never enough
You can’t sustain yourself
But for God it’s not so tough
To feed us, cloth us
And provide abundant life
That’s why he called us wealthy
For he knows he’s the supply
To all our needs and
Provisions that come with living life
He’s the source of everything
I’m in him, He is wealth; that’s nice
