David killed his ten thousand
in the name of the Lord
Goliath had to fall
and fall he did hard

To prove to Israel that
Jehovah keeps His word
To show forth his covenant
in the absurd
God never sent him,
his father Jessie did
To deliver his brother’s food
cause they were all hid
With fear from Goliath,
the Philistine’s giant
Who made them fearful,
who was also defiant
Against the God of Israel
as he cursed his names
Flaunting his strength
and armor without shame
With a stone
he came tumbling down
In the center of his forehead
it sat like a frown
Though the victory was swift
He’d prepared all along
As he protected his father’s sheep
While sending praises and psongs
From the lion to the bear
From the bear to the Philistine
Proves no matter the size the giant
With Jehovah, victory’s mine
