Confession

Just admit it
Just tell the truth
He knows anyway
He’s just waiting for you

To expose the lie
The deception, the trick
Hold back the truth,
Darkness hits like a brick

It starts small
Like a ball in the snow
Then it grows and grows
And before you know

It you’ve weaved a huge web
A dark cloud or mask
And trying to get out
Is more than a task

You see, you’re caught in a loop now
With no way out
In the territory of darkness now
No need to shout

For help
Or scream for relief
Only darkness can hear you now
You know, the robber, the thief

Steal, kill and destroy
That’s his m.o.
It all starts with a lie
Even the white one’s won’t go

Unnoticed or unchecked
For they’re all a seed
First conception, then birth
It’s inevitable indeed

It’s the law of progression
From seed time to harvest
You reap what you sow
Now who is the smartest

The Creator
Or the creature
He made the law
We are the keepers

So when you break it
Just admit it and tell the truth
He knows anyway
He’s just waiting on you

  1. When I kept silent,
    my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
    For day and night
    your hand was heavy on me;
    my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
    I said, “I will confess
    my transgressions to the Lord.”
    And you forgave
    the guilt of my sin.

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
    will not reach them.

    Psalm 32: 3-6
