The Making

I know who I am
I know who I be
I know who I am
For he delivered me

From the bondage of others
Anxiety and the like
He has opened my eyes
With clear vision I can sight

The enemy before he approaches
Or try to make his move
I can see him up ahead
As he prepares his loom

To trap me
Encompass me in his grip
Oh, I see you coming
That trick with a weapon in it

To destroy my confidence
My faith in my maker
My provision, my protector
My source, my creator

Of all things present
And all things to come
The things in the middle
Those things not yet done

Completed, still in the making
And yet to be revealed
Those work-in-progress things
Things still to be healed

But when it’s all over
And when it’s said and done
I’ll be who I am
The finished product, a son

  1. Really appreciate this! Makes me think of…
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Corinthians5:17&version=ESV

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. – Philippians 1:6 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians1:6&version=ESV

  2. It’s important to know who you are and what you want from life in general, most importantly have something to inspire and motivate you to wake up everyday never forgetting the role of Jesus Christ in your life and your responsibilities.

  3. WOW! There’s a lot of MEAT in this message! When we become the light, it not only helps us to see where we’re going, it helps us to see who’s lurking!!!! “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light…Luke 8:16-17
