Ode to Bill

When I started this blog
I didn’t want to do it
But God wouldn’t leave me alone
Until I saw to it

And got to putting it together
Despite whether

Or not I had too much
Already on my plate
He couldn’t wait

For me to keep dragging my feet
To stop thinking defeat

So I did as I was told
Found a friend to help mold

Me into a blogger; somewhat
As he challenged me daily
His work so amazing
I was afraid what he’d say

Lest I offended him
By saying no
But he’s been faithful
To show

Me the ropes
When I need advice
Take me by the hand
He’s ever so nice

With the compliments
And encouragement each day
I’d like to thank you *Bill
For showing me the way

You’re the best. Keep doing what you do. You’re appreciated.

  1. This is so incredibly kind and meaningful Dorothy…really, really touches me. And you know, I think it’s fair to say that we’ve shared and worked through this journey together….each helping the other.

And that, my friend, is the beauty of this life, isn’t it.

    You’ve made my night.

    Thank you.

  2. I thought Bill was a fictional character until I saw his comment. It is quite thoughtful of you to put up this amazing piece. Shows how much you honour and value people.

    You will also be honoured.

To Bill, thank you for all the help you could give. There’s a God who rewards and He will reward you. Blessings!
