Accepted in the Beloved

Everyone wants to be accepted. In school, at work or among friends. We were built to be communal beings.

Remember, “…it’s not good that man should be alone.” It’s in our Genesis – our beginning.

I used to want to be accepted
Where I was excluded from
Now, when I’m around this group
I feel kinda numb

To their glances
And awkward sneers
Things I used to notice
Doesn’t Come anywhere near

To hurting my feelings anymore
I don’t even get offended anymore

Those things I ignore
The attitudes I once adhored
Don’t bother me anymore

As a matter of fact
I done even keep score

For I am loved by the Father
Accepted by his Grace
For I am accepted in the beloved
No more shame on this face

I’m in. Are you?

  1. I’m in Dorothy. And I certainly AM the outcast since going blind and wheelchair bound. By my church. But who cares? We have our Heavenly Father. Wonderful
