Why You Haven’t Found “The One”. . .yet

Recently I came across this video on my Twitter feed. I almost overlooked it as I’ve seen so many of these types of videos that I figured I had heard it all. Well, I was wrong. Dead wrong.

I thought that since I couldn’t develop long term relationships that I had a fear of commitment. Nope. She mentions several reasons why you haven’t located the “one” and I found myself in one of those reasons. Growth rate. That’s what she calls it anyway. I realized that the reason I bore after a short amount of time of dating is because I grow at a rate faster than my partner. Truth be told, I’ve outgrown them at the introduction. I shall settle no more. Neither should you.

I haven’t dated in years. I mean a really long time. Being married and all kinda cuts that sorta thing out. Knoh I mean? Now that I’m a free woman I’d like to make my efforts more effective and profound. I need someone on my level. That’s what I really need. I think I’ve found that now. At least I hope so. *fingers crossed*.

I’m not afraid of commitment, I just need someone on my level. If you’re looking, do you know why you haven’t found “the one”…yet? Maybe this video has your answer. Check it out.

  1. I have found “the one” many times – and I’m not being facetious when I say that. I’m married, I wish I wasn’t, I’m not cut out for marriage, some folks aren’t, yet here I am. But my husband suits me very well.

  2. Never settle for less than what you deserve. Good Lesson you’ve learned there.
Too many women and men stay in bad relationships when they really would be better off single. Life is too short to waste your time and the time of the person who doesn’t suit you. Just my two cents though 😉

      1. Yes! I’ve not been dating for a while, I’ve taken a step back because it’s not good timing for my life. Also – I feel like I’m constantly out growing people too. But that’s just because I’m working on a lot at the moment.
